This is for version 9 or 10 or higher :
This is for version 8 :
-To Update is very easy just double click in avira icon tray (left side clock)
the will appear avira wondows menu
-Then Click tools , then chose (manual selection) for zip file you have downloaded before.

-After that go to Over View , for running the updates.

- Then click the start update

Then your avira antivirus will update
